Then I remembered that Christmas is a time of sharing... so I decided to share someone else's work today. And I've done this one especially because of what an amazing job this person does!
Today, I present to you... Perry Winkle!
Susie was not so long ago diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma - Perry Winkle was created as a way of helping her cope with the comic. For the longest time she has been working on the comic, whilst at the same time running Susie Sketches which do commission - all the while promoting charities in support of those with cancer. She is a remarkable woman and deserves every bit of attention for her work. So I decided that, rather than talk about myself this Christmas, I would try and send as many people her way as I can.
Recently, Perry Winkle released a short comic called A Very Perry Christmas, which was written by Will Turner (who also wrote Reynard City). It's a short but sweet piece that you can read for free at the following link,
A VERY PERRY CHRISTMAS
You can also find information about donating to charities on the website and information about the comic itself. Bear in mind that Susie is doing this not for her own personal gain, but to raise awareness. So please support this in anyway you can.
I will be interviewing Susie Gander in the New Year about her comic, so keep an eye on that. And Susie, if you're reading this - keep up the amazing work!
Well, that's gonna be my last post for a few days - taking some time off to enjoy the Holidays! I wish every single one of you a Very Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you choose to celebrate) and a Happy New Year. From Amanda Moonstone and Draconica, Happy Holidays! (And thanks to Kirsten Moody for this excellent Amanda Moonstone Christmas piece).
